How to Achieve the Perfect Size & Comfortable Fit With Gabor Shoes

As with all shoes, the comfort is imperative as well as the style, which are both features that Gabor pride themselves on. The wearer of a shoe must be entirely happy with the comfort of the shoe as well as the style as just one of each criteria could potentially result in a shoe being left unworn at the back of your wardrobe.

Favouring fashion over comfort can lead to numerous problems with ones feet, whilst equally, regardless of how comfortable a shoe is, you must be happy wearing it. Therefore, the style of Gabor suits many a taste, and here's how they ensure a comfortable fit:

Narrow Leg Many footwear manufacturers cater for the larger calf but many fail to cater for the other end of the scale, with the slim-calf lady. Having a boot that doesn't fit snugly can lead to an uncomfortable feel and one that doesn't look good. Therefore, Gabor have boots that cling effortlessly to your calf, providing a tight high-boot perfect for the slim-calf lady.
Normal Leg Gabor are one of the first footwear manufacturers to recognise that a larger shoe size often requires a wider shank. Normal boots will be fitted with a medium-shank width but this will be made wider as the shoe size increases. Gabor's experience within the footwear industry has allowed for them to create a size table that ensures each boots has a shank-width entirely suitable for the foot size.
Wide Leg To cater for an athletic calf, Gabor have wide shank high-boots which allow for more room, without sacrificing style. To cater their boots for this, Gabor have featured stretch material, elastic bands and adjustable straps within their boots to ensure comfort is maximised regardless of the calf size.
Extra-wide Leg Just as with the wide shank high-boots above, the extra-wide shanks cater for a sturdy leg; again with the same features of adjustable straps, flexible material and so on guaranteeing the comfort of the Gabor boot.
Vario Width By using adjustable buckles, laces or elastic inserts, a variable width of a high-boot can be achieved within some of the Gabor boots range. This allows the boot to adapt easily to various calf widths as well as different occasions that the boot may be required for, e.g. if the trouser leg is inserted inside the boot and so on.
Warm Lined Materials such as; lambskin or high-tech linings have been selected by Gabor to ensure that a warm lining is provided within ranges of their shoes. Equally, innovative techniques are used within these linings, e.g. the high-tech warm lining has an antibacterial feature, which reduces odours, as well as having a scratch-resistant quality.
Articulated The natural rolling motion of the foot is continued within Gabor shoes with the use of a special sole that contours to the shape of the foot and moves with the same flexibility. Thus, the foot is allowed to roll safely and naturally, allowing for a foot that feels almost as though it is walking barefoot.
Integrated Footbed The natural shape of the foot is benefited with the use of Gabor's integrated footbed which contours to the foots shape giving additional support and comfort.
Removable Inner Sole To provide shoes that have removable inner soles, allows Gabor to cater for those who require orthopaedic supports, and an insole that can be removed for washing and airing purposes. The removable inner soles can be found in either a light and comfortable leather or a high-tech material that creates the Ultra Flex Air System. The Ultra Flex Air System provides air ducts within the shoe which ventilates the foot, keeping the foot odour free and fresh. Equally, the Shock Point is featured within some Gabor shoes which provide a shock absorbing, cushioning feature for the heel during walking and standing movements.
