Emu made their debut at New York Fashion week, running away on the runway with their exceptional Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. As the only Australian brand to host a show during New York Fashion Week, they showed off their Australian-inspired collection via a live streaming.
Their showase collection showed the true heritage of the Emu brand, focused primarily around representing the Australian natural landscape. This is something that is not only encapsulated in their designs but in the actual materials used, with many of their products been constructed of natural sheepskin.
Speaking about the collection, Marketing Director of Emu, Coel Dart commented:
'We believe that this collection is definitely our strongest to date and we were very excited to be involved in Style 360 and to be showcasing our a/w collection on New York's international fashion stage...It represents our largest ever colour offer; complete with our water-resistant sheepskin technology.'
The Emu brand continues their classic designs with the Stinger collection, as well as adding a new, fashionable slouch for Spring in the Emu Hyde design.
